Seattle Post-Intelligencer: Rescued climbers recovering in Anchorage hospital
Don is coming home tomorrow.
My Brother is Alive! Trapped on Mount Logan

Margret with Don Jardine at the "Rescue Cabin"last winter. Don was rescued from Mount Logan today, the mountain tried to claim him and two of his team mates if not the efforts of one of Don's rescue team brothers Don would never have left the mountain alive. Don was trapped at 18,000 ft when a storm closed in on them while they were making their way to the summit. When his friend got to him Don was hypothermic and drifting in and out of consciousness. Evidentally they slapped Don around to keep him alert. A helicopter was flown in early this morning Pacific Time and lifted the climbers to saftey, last I heard Don and his fellow climbers were on their to Anchorage and a hospital. The climbers have severe frostbite but I understand that they are in stable condition.
