Once the B.C. Hydro Building now called the Electra. This downtown Vancouver landmark has an interesting history and great character. Vancouver artist B.C. Binning did the design including the tile work, mosaic tiles on every surface. The Electra is now a heritage building full of condos it is located at Burrard and Nelson downtown.

Lynn Canyon Park, North Vancouver


This park gives a great feel for westcoast terrain, beautiful canyon, forest, and river. Don't miss this place when you come to Vancouver. (the title is linked to the park eco-centre)

There was logging in the area before it became a park, some of the old cedar stumps remain.

Just up river from the bridge, this place is great for swimming, and cliff jumping, in the summer, the water is kind of cold right now.

They recently put a cafe in the parking lot, and it is quite comfortable.

Vancouver is loaded with talented artists of all kinds, Linda Lee invited Claude to dance with her during the Tangissimo Concert at the Terry Fox Theatre on Sunday afternoon. Both Linda Lee and Claude are world class Argentine Tango dancers, and both are regulars on the Vancouver tango scene.

dadabase Broadway & Main in Vancouver


Main & Broadway is becoming a very popular with the arts and culture crowd, let's just call it alternative. "dadabase" is one of the draws, great little shop with internet, chic stuff and a gallery called Xeno . I checked inside too, see below.
